Qanawat
Qanawat is a municipality in southern Damascus with a population of approximately 58,053. The name derives from the Arabic word for “canals,” reflecting the historic water channels that fed the area from the Barada River.
Qanawat is a densely built residential area close to the Old City, with traditional houses, small shops, and a strong sense of community. Its proximity to the historic centre makes it a convenient and well-connected neighbourhood.
